Subaru is finally making changes to the looks of its popular Impreza with the introduction of the Subaru Impreza Design Concept. The new Subaru Impreza will be on par with today’s contemporary design, which brings the mundane 90’s look of the current Impreza to the present.
If you’ve ever noticed the Subaru Impreza’s appearance through out the years that it only made subtle changes to every year’s iteration. The current Subaru Impreza is a great car to drive, but its appearance is way outdated and due for a remodeling.
That is where the Subaru Impreza Design Concept comes in, which Subaru is taking its compact design in a whole new direction. The new designing language is called “Confidence In Motion”, which we like a lot.
In the front fascia of the Subaru Impreza Design Concept, we still do see much resembling to Subaru’s image but with a modern twist. But that’s all changed in the rear end, which gets a new fresh design with rising diffuser and arching rear fenders to provide an aerodynamic look and functionality.
As for the interior of the this four-door coupe, it receives new seat design with luxury comfort, updated dash and gauges with touch panel display, and buttons on steering wheel to control a touchscreen.
The Subaru Impreza concept is powered by a new 2.0-liter boxer engine that is mated to a Lineartronic transmission to drive the wheels through a Symmetrical All Wheel Drive system. This is probably the first modern, good-looking design that came out of Subaru in a very long time. Hopefully, we will see it comes to reality real soon to replace the outdated-style Subaru Legacy.
