The votes are in. The Internet Car and Truck of the Year has just announced the winners for 2011, and without further delays, the winners are the Cadillac CTS-V and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The 2011CTS-V took home the trophy in the car segment with is new dazzling, sporty styling in a powerful 556-horsepower supercharged V8. And in the 2011 Grand Cherokee took the trophy for the best in its class in terms of beauty and driveability on and off road, beating out the Kia Sportage and the Ford Super Duty.
“Jeep is delighted that the all-new Grand Cherokee has captured this unique award,” said Mike Manley, president and CEO–Jeep Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “This acknowledgment demonstrates that both consumers and opinion-leading journalists recognize that the 2011 Grand Cherokee offers an unmatched blend of legendary Jeep capability, premium on-road refinement, superb craftsmanship, world-class design, and advanced safety and technology features.”
The Internet Car and Truck of the Year are chosen by a panel of 15 car journalists and “Average Joes” consumers. The panel jurors voted 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Internet Car of the Year, and the 2011 Ford Mustang GT was named Car of the Year by consumers, but both voted for the Jeep Grand Cherokee for Truck of the Year.
So there you have it, this is the last award segment that we will be seeing for this year. A new year will begin to start all over again. We will be seeing more exciting cars coming out next year as the competition is getting fiercer than ever.
