You got face to the fact that station wagons aren’t the best sellers nor they are popular by any standard now. So what’s driving these auto manufacturers to keep producing these cars? Perhaps to fill up its portfolio? Whatever the reason, during a brief interview, Acura executives revealed details of the 2011 TSX Sport Wagon.
According to Acura, the 2011 TSX Sport Wagon will be available for the market in just a few weeks from now, so we assume that it will be at dealerships by the end of this month. Pricing for the 2011 TSX Sport Wagon will start from $30,960, not including $860 for destination charges.
That is a big chunk for a starting price, which enables all TSX Sport Wagon models to come with standard leather-trimmed interior, premium seven-speaker sound system, XM radio, USB audio with iPod integration, Bluetooth connectivity and a power moonroof. There is also an optional package Technology Package offered for the TSX at about $3,650. It adds sat-nav with voice recognition and rear-view camera, an ELS surround audio system, GPS-linked solar-sensing climate control and a power liftgate out back.
So far, the 2011 Acura Sport Wagon only available with a 2.4-liter inline-four engine producing a measly 201 horsepower, which is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Station wagons are meant to haul a lot of people and stuff, but at this weak power band, a trip to Las Vegas from California could mean that some people may have to get out of the car and walk through those mountain passes. And you can forget about those camping trips on the mountains as well.
