BMW Z4 Roadster takes to the limit by G-Power

G-Power, a German tuner, increases the horsepower output the BMW Z4 Roadster by using the same technology found on the the 800-horsepower BMW M5 Hurricane RR and M6 Hurricane RR. G-Power decided to modify the supercharger system on the 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine of the BMW Z4.

The old supercharger was replaced with the modified SK Plus supercharger system. The geometry of the compressor has been altered along with the housing to provide quick boost build-up in the mid rpm range. The result is an increase of 0.3 bar of boost from SK Plus kit, which pushes out an additional 55 horsepower to a total of 286 hp and 255 lb-ft. This translate to a faster acceleration time for the the tuned BMW Z4, which now can sprint from zero to 62 mph in 5.4 seconds.

More horsepower means more stability control is needed. G-Power also provides a 9-way adjustable coil-over sport suspension for the tuned BMW Z4. In addition, 20-inch multi-spoke Silverstone Diamond alloys wrapped in 245/30 front and 285/25 rear Michelin tires provide better traction and good looks too. Lastly, G-Power also provides its own custom built rear exhaust system with 4 x 76 mm matching taill pipes to show off the BMW Z4’s prowness.

The ready-installed G-POWER SK Plus supercharger system starts at EUR 2,500. A side note, the parts used for the G-Power BMW Z4 3.0i can also be fitted to the same engine in the BMW E46 330i.
