Ford has been coming out on top lately this year with a bunch of awards such as Popular Mechanics and Truck of Texas.  Now the Ford Fusion is taken first place in the 2010 Motor Trend Car of the Year award.  The Fusion bested out 23 contenders which included the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class to win this prestigious award.

The Ford Fusion won the 2010 Motor Trend Car of the Year award on two strong points.   First, the Ford Fusion is America’s top 10-selling vehicles and the No. 1-selling domestic car.  Secondly, the Ford Fusion is America’s most fuel-efficient midsize sedan for both hybrid and conventional gasoline models.

The Fusion Hybrid with an EPA estimated 41 mpg rating in the city and 36 mpg on the highway tops the Toyota Camry hybrid by 8 mpg in the city and 2 mpg on the highway.  In the four-cylinder engine, the Ford Fusion has a highway fuel economy at 34 mpg tops the Toyota Camry four-cylinder by 2 mpg.  Hey, that is not much better mpg than the Toyota Camry but still better.  A win is a win.

your really proud of that 80’s bimmer huh

  2. 86bmw325i says:

it has to be redesigned for 2010

  3. 86bmw325i says:

what does that have to do with it?

  4. 86bmw325i says:

the interior quality is definitely not as good as a nissan altima, and the driving dynamics are fun, but why not go the extra mile and get more fun, with a better interior, and get a mazda6. i would understand if you bought the hybrid, because the fun isn’t typically found on other hybrids (toyota camry) but, i will not buy a ford, because i don’t want to be associated with american cars. i like my bmw, and my everyday nissan altima. if i was only concerned about mpg, this would win, but i’m not

  5. tacoonadio says:

idk nothing i guess but why not an m3 or a 5 or 7 series why do you like an entry level bimmer from the 80’s

  6. 86bmw325i says:

bmw doesn’t really skimp out on quality when it comes to entry level. really its just size. 3 series cars are just the right size for me, and i don’t need the space of the 5 and 7 series. m3s are way too expensive to maintain and i’m satisfied with the stock performance of my car

  7. tacoonadio says:

thats cool i do enjoy the 80’s luxury of my 89 supra it was more of a gt car back then ive been in 90’s bimmers and their not that luxurious i guess the 80’s were a better time for cars
