2010 ford fusion1 Ford Fusion named 2010 Motor Trend car of the year

Ford has been coming out on top lately this year with a bunch of awards such as Popular Mechanics and Truck of Texas.  Now the Ford Fusion is taken first place in the 2010 Motor Trend Car of the Year award.  The Fusion bested out 23 contenders which included the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class to win this prestigious award.

The Ford Fusion won the 2010 Motor Trend Car of the Year award on two strong points.   First, the Ford Fusion is America’s top 10-selling vehicles and the No. 1-selling domestic car.  Secondly, the Ford Fusion is America’s most fuel-efficient midsize sedan for both hybrid and conventional gasoline models.

The Fusion Hybrid with an EPA estimated 41 mpg rating in the city and 36 mpg on the highway tops the Toyota Camry hybrid by 8 mpg in the city and 2 mpg on the highway.  In the four-cylinder engine, the Ford Fusion has a highway fuel economy at 34 mpg tops the Toyota Camry four-cylinder by 2 mpg.  Hey, that is not much better mpg than the Toyota Camry but still better.  A win is a win.

    I love the Fusion!!!

only 3,000 miles and 3 trips to the shop.

Trip 1)check engine light and I needed a new part

Trip 2)Check engine light and the computer needed to be recalibrated or something stupid like that

Trip 3) Car shut down on the highway for no reason but was nice enough to tell me to pull the car over safely as fast as humaly possible. The good news is it only needed to be rebooted like my computer to get going again but needed a nother part.

Just don’t buy a Ford, especially a Fusion Hybrid

I Purchased a 2010 Ford Fusion in November of 2009 after driving it for seven months (8,000) miles, I started feeling a jerking when I excelerate like the car had problems shifting gears. I returned it and demanded a new car. Ford refinanced another new fusion for me hopfully I won’t have any problems out of this one. Good luck future buyers.
