Ford has been coming out on top lately this year with a bunch of awards such as Popular Mechanics and Truck of Texas. Now the Ford Fusion is taken first place in the 2010 Motor Trend Car of the Year award. The Fusion bested out 23 contenders which included the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class to win this prestigious award.
The Ford Fusion won the 2010 Motor Trend Car of the Year award on two strong points. First, the Ford Fusion is America’s top 10-selling vehicles and the No. 1-selling domestic car. Secondly, the Ford Fusion is America’s most fuel-efficient midsize sedan for both hybrid and conventional gasoline models.
The Fusion Hybrid with an EPA estimated 41 mpg rating in the city and 36 mpg on the highway tops the Toyota Camry hybrid by 8 mpg in the city and 2 mpg on the highway. In the four-cylinder engine, the Ford Fusion has a highway fuel economy at 34 mpg tops the Toyota Camry four-cylinder by 2 mpg. Hey, that is not much better mpg than the Toyota Camry but still better. A win is a win.

The Ford Fusion isn’t that bad, and this is coming from a G37 coupe owner.
The ford fusion is just an old Mazda6 with a ford finished interior, bad interior with good platform. I would much rather buy a Mazda6 than this piece of s***.
@86bmw325i the ford fusion is a great car. I drive one , and I have tested many other makes and models. And this car is by far the best.
why they every time in motor trend bring least of honda`s cars where`s s2000 or honda civic si or even nsx????
jaja ford fusion, american stupid
the zr1 still not in this one bahahahaah gm what a fail
Not stupid at all. Mazda Underpinnings and Volvo bits. Why not?? GM dips in the Aussie and Euro bag all the time. Fusion is a bitchin car not trying to be anything else other than what it is. Crap even I might look at that 4 cyl. with that 6 speed.
