I thought the GTI or the Fusion and I was kind of surprised that they’d say the Fusion. Also any of you who are jelly that it won it’s pretty clear why it did, fun to drive, covers a wide target audience, looks good, has been greatly improved and Ford has recently started putting out really good cars with great quality underneath. I’m no Ford fan but I wont complain with what they’re doing right now.

I gotta hand it. VW sure does make that gti really nice. I actually kinda want one now. But my only concern is that 1: I want an American car 2: VW is known for bad trans and engines after a few miles, i dont know if that is still true or not, but still!

I have the Fusion’s ugly duckling cousin, the 04 Mazda 6S 3.0L. Coming from the LE5 Cobalt/Ion I-4 Sport motor, this V6 feels LESS powerful, though its 50hp more. It has no torque, and the 5-speed punishes short-shifting. I’m looking at the next-gen Fusion in a couple years(if it goes Ecoboost for the sport) along with a Z-NISMO, the new 5.0, and I can’t believe I’m saying it, but the Regal GS. The 2.0L turbo it takes from the Cobalt SS is a great motor and a definite future COTY contender.
