Mitsubishi today releases the Concept Global Small car ahead of the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The Concept Global Small is designed with the ideas of lightweight, affordability and high fuel-efficiency.
The Mitsubishi Concept Global will feature a 1.0 or 1.2-liter gasoline engine mated to a CVT transmission, a regenerative braking system, and a stop-start mechanism to conserve fuel. This new compact vehicle is schedule to enter production in 2012 at Mitsubishi’s new third factory in Thailand, which will have an initial capacity for around 150,000 units per year.
