As if people still need another luxury SUV, Lexus is introducing the second generation GX 460 SUV for 2010. Not only its style is out of date but it is also expensive.  I would rather get a Cadillac SUV instead; I just don’t see the luxury in this Lexus Luxury GX 460.  The 2010 GX 460 SUV is equipped with a new 301-hp V8 and six-speed transmission.  The 2010 GX460 SUV will replace the GX 470 model.  Lexus claims that the new 2010 GX 460 will be more powerful, more efficient, quieter and more luxurious than the GX 470.  Well,  what I see here is more money out of the customers’ pockets.  And you thought that the SUV is dead.

Here is the low-down of this gas guzzler. It has a 4.6-liter V8 engine that produces 301 horsepower and 329 lb-feet of maximum torque, and it is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift.  Fuel economy for this gas guzzler is estimated at 15 mpg city and 20 mpg highway.  So unless you are buying this to tow your boat, don’t bother driving it around town; it’ll just eat up your wallet.
