As the race for supremacy between the houses of pony cars, rumor has it that Chevrolet is working on a Camaro 2LS model that will put out 30 miles per gallon. Is it 30 mpg combined of city and highway or 30 mpg city or 30 mpg hwy. We don’t know yet, but we think the latter.
We know that the current 2011 Ford Mustang V6 achieves 30 miles per gallon on the highway, and General Motors is planning to beat or even that number in every way it possibly can. And that could mean a few shavings of parts here and there to reduce the overall weight.
Reported by GMInsideNews that the new Chevrolet Camaro 2LS model is powered by a 3.6-liter V6, and it is able to churn out 30 miles per gallon. The Camaro 2LS will only be available with a six-speed automatic transmission, and it is also comes with a rear spoiler and 18-inch wheels.
According to GMInsideNews, the 2011 Camaro 2LS will be available for order through dealerships starting at the end of this month, and it is expected to sell at around $24,700, including destination charges.
