The relentless pursuit of power has made MTM, a German tuning firm, to tuned the Audi R8 to 777 horsepower. Yes, “777” are the jackpot numbers at the slot machines, and perhaps MTM just hit the sweet spot on this tuned, polished aluminum Audi R8.
It took more than 700 hours of work to complete the polishing job of this shiny MTM Audi R8. The initial process involved in a complete stripping of the paint, but that is MTM’s trade secret for now and they are spilling the details.
But the most impressive part is that MTM has modified the BiTurbo V10 engine to produce a staggering 777 horsepower and 655 lb-ft of torque. And you may ask how well it performs compare to the standard Audi R8? Well, the tuned MTM Audi R8 can sprint from 0-62 mph in just 3 second flat with a top speed of 217 mph, making it the fastest supercar in its segment.
All this added power is no good if you can’t tame it to the ground. MTM also added an adjustable sports suspension and larger MTM brakes with 8-piston calipers at the front and rear axle along with a few aerodynamic pieces such as side skirts, front spoiler lip and a larger rear wing.
Like its staggering horsepower, the sticker price for this MTM Audi R8 supercar is about €400,000, which is an equivalent of about $550,500.
If the MTM Audi R8 is too much of a beast for you, MTM also has a tuned Audi TT RS in place. It is tuned to 472 horsepower, and it is able to achieve a top speed of 195 mph. We’ll have more details of the MTM Audi TT RS when it hits the Geneva Motor Show next week.
