Koenigsegg Group AB Terminates Agreement For Purchase of Saab

Koenigsegg, a small Swedish car maker terminated its proposal to buy Saab.  This is a disappoint for GM as it wants to trim down its fat by getting rid of subsidiaries around the world.  This reasons could be due two speculative reasons: first that Koenigsegg (brand new company since 1994) may not be experienced enough to take on such a large endeavor and second due to the economic crisis and that sales of cars have gone down over the past few years, it may be a high risk decision to expand for more car production.
