Kia has released its new 2011 Sportage SX Turbo. New CUV (compact crossover vehicle) model offers advanced turbocharged engine and dynamic handling. The 2011 Sportage SX models up the ante with a more powerful engine, exterior styling enhancements and unique interior options.
The new 2011 Kia Sportage SX Turbo crossover will be powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 256 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque. The direct-injection turbocharged engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Kia claims that the 2011 Sportage SX Turbo front-wheel-drive has an estimated fuel economy rating of 27 miles per gallon highway, and we suspect that it is about 20 mpg in the city.
In addition to powertrain improvements, the 2011 Sportage SX uses sport-tuned suspension with firmer shock and strut rates for improved handling and dynamic performance. Kia also added unique 18-inch wheels, dual exhaust and a distinct grille to accentuate the SX model.
The 2011 Sportage SX is scheduled to arrive in dealer showrooms later this month, and it will have prices start at $25,795 for the front-wheel drive version. Opting for the all-wheel drive version will jump you to $27,2952. These prices do not include a $695 destination charge.
