GM just has unveiled the all-new next-generation 2012 Chevrolet Colorado ahead of the Bangkok International Motor Show. The all-new 2012 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck is like no other trucks before it in terms of appearance and power.
The next-generation 2012 Chevrolet Colorado mid-size pickup truck features an extended-cab body with the appearance of an off-road truck that is provided by an AWD chassis and large, 20-inch wheels wrapped in off-road tires. We are in awe with its design; it is modern and tough looking with the agility characteristic that makes one to take it for an off-road once done with work.
Not only the exterior looks modern, the interior receives a fresh design as well. The 2012 Chevrolet Colorado features a dual-cockpit instrument panel design that has a wraparound effect to give a sense of spaciousness. Adding to the senses, ice-blue lighting, “double-faced” leather-trimmed seats, dark wood trim accented with chrome, and low-gloss materials add another level of sophistication and refinement that you don’t find in its pickup truck brethren.
Further enhancing the comfortableness, the 2012 Chevrolet Colorado features a dual-zone, digital climate control system and the latest in “infotainment” technology. The infotainment center allows access to the Web, navigation, music and hands-free phone through a 7-inch LCD in the center stack.
The 2012 Chevrolet Colorado will go on sale in Thailand later this year, which will be powered by a 2.8-liter turbo-diesel engine. GM has not revealed details about the powertrain yet, but we soon to find out in a few weeks.
Pickup truck sales have soared in Thailand, which has accounted for 43 percent of total vehicle sold in Thailand last year. Ford has already jumped on the band wagon for a ride with its new Ford Ranger Wildtrak pickup truck. GM is doing similar with the introduction of the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Colorado. We hope that these pickup trucks would come back to the States once the dust had settled, because they sure do look good from this side of the lawn. Or just maybe, one night in Bangkok that these trucks wouldn’t ever want to come back to the States.
In the meantime, we’ve just updated the unveiling of the all-new 2012 Chevrolet Colorado in Bangkok below.
