Stasis Engineering just released the Challenge Extreme Edition package for the Audi R8 V10 Spyder, and we thought the first one was already extreme. The performance package will now thrust the power output of the Audi R8 V10 to 710 horsepower. This first iteration performance package from Stasis Engineering is menacing.
The new performance package for the latest Audi R8 V10 includes powertrain, suspension and brake upgrades that change the Audi R8 V10 Spyder into a ferocious cat. Performance numbers tell us that with the upgrades, the Audi R8 V10 Spyder is capable of launching from 0-62 mph in a blistering 3.1 seconds, which is about 0.6 seconds faster than the stock version. And while top speed is gear limited to 197 mph.
To accomplish the 710 horsepower and 523 lb-feet of torque range, Stasis Engineering fitted the Audi R8 V10 Spyder with an Eaton/Magnusson TVS 2300 supercharger along with a high-efficiency intercooler, a new intake system and reprogrammed ECU.
To move the spent exhaust gas out of the engine quickly, Stasis engineers also added a new stainless steel exhaust system. Stopping power is provided by 390 mm front/355 mm rear with two-piece disc brakes. As for the suspension, the Audi R8 V10 Spyder is equipped with lowering springs to improve handling along with a set of 20-inch ultra-lightweight alloy wheels to provide an aggressive look.
The Audi R8 V10 with the Challenge Extreme Edition package is available through the APS of Brackley distributor for £45,000 ($71,800), and it is available for the U.S. as well. Check out the video below.
