Too cold and lazy to go to work in morning because it is too damn cold to go out and start your car? Well, Chevrolet has a cheap remote car starter just for the winter. When I say cheap, I meant that it costs cheaper from the like of Toyota, Honda, Ford or the after market ones. Last time I checked, it was about $375 for an after market remote starter with installation. At $300 buckaroos, you can start your car in the warm comfort of your house before heading out into the chilly winter.
This remote start is not like your home made or after market ones. The system checks to be sure the hood is closed, via a hood switch and conducts a host of vehicle diagnostics before it starts your vehicle. Best of all, you don’t have to worry about a car thief jumping in and driving off while you are brushing your teeth. All vehicle doors are locked while remote start is running. Remote start runs for 10 minutes and then shuts off, unless the driver extends the time up to 20 minutes.
