Dodge finally named its new 1500 pickup truck as the Ram 1500 Express, which will start at $23,830, including $975 destination charge. The new Ram 1500 Express pickup truck targets at younger customers and first-time buyers, but it fails to make available of an extra-cap version.

The new Ram 1500 Express is available only as a regular cab, short-bed model that can be equipped with either a 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain. Power is provided by a standard 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine producing 390 horsepower and 407 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy on this V8 HEMI engine is expected to be around 20 mpg combined.

There are about eight exterior colors available for the Ram 1500 Express, which all come in as a monochromatic paint scheme. The grille with black honeycomb inserts, chrome-tipped dual exhausts, fog lamps and five-spoke 20-inch aluminum wheels are also part of the standard package. In addition, the Ram 1500 Express can be customized with Mopar parts to suit individual taste.

As for the interior of the RAM 1500 Express, it gets a vinyl bench seat with an option of a vinyl or carpet floor. Other standard features include automatic headlamps, tinted glass and a six-speaker audio system that can play CD as well as MP3 media.

Younger or first-time customers may think twice about buying this Ram 1500 Express due to the current high prices of gasoline, and there is a lack of an extra-cap to make it versatile.
