2012 Roush RS3 Mustang produces 540 horsepower

Roush announced its new Stage 3 package for the 2012 Ford Mustang. The new Stage 3 Roush Mustang is now carried the RS3 moniker, which replaces the 5XR Mustang, Roush’s current powerful offering.

The 5.0L 4-valve DOHC TiVCT engine is force-fed with 12psi of cooled air by the R2300 ROUSHcharger to produceĀ 540 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. In addition to the powertrain upgrade, the RS3 Mustang also gets a tuned suspension as well. Although Roush hasn’t published any number yet for the RS3 Mustang, we expect performance numbers should exceed the current 5xR model.

As always along with the power upgrade, the 2012 RS3 Mustang comes with a few exterior modifications as well. The 2012 RS3 Mustang is available in six stripe colors and six accent colors for you to choose from. In addition, 20-inch Hyper Black wheels and rear three-quarter window louvers are available as optional equipment as well.

Of course, the 2012 RS3 Mustang comes with a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty, and it starts from $59,945. You can check out its online graphics configurator to customize your own RS3 Mustang.
