Shelby just debuted its 2012 Shelby GTS Mustang at the 2011 New York Auto Show for the younger audience. As you may know, Shelby Mustangs are expensive, and most of these owners who can afford these Mustangs are usually up in their 50s. So Shelby is introducing an affordable version to attract these younger customers.
The new 2012 Shelby GTS Mustang package is priced at $9,995, and it is available on the Mustang GT and Mustang V6. The Shelby GTS package includes a number of upgrades such as a Borla exhaust system, Baer brakes, Shelby front fascia, Le Mans stripes and a cave hood. Customers can also choose to include superchargers for both the V6 and the V8 as well.
Production of the Shelby GTS is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2011, and the Shelby GTS package on the Mustang V6 is expected to cost around $32,000.
