Mitsubishi makes the last offering of the 2012 Eclipse SE before eclipsing the model for good. We say farewell to the Eclipse, and hopefully one day it will rise again as a better looking car like it was in the 1998 model.
The last 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse SE model will be available on all trim levels of GS, GS Sport and GT. The 1998 Eclipse was special, and this 2012 Mitsubishi Eclipse was anything but special. Basically, it includes a few measly improvements such as “SE” decals, black side mirrors and 18-inch dark finish alloy wheels.
The 2012 Eclipse SE will be powered with two engine options: 162-hp 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine for the GS/GS Sport models and a 265-hp 3.8-liter V6 engine for the GT model. The 3.8-liter engine is mated to a 5-speed Sportronic automatic transmission.
Other standard equipment includes leather seats with heated front seats and a power-adjustable driver’s seat, rearview camera, sunroof, Bluetooth, heated side mirrors and a 9-speaker, 650-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system with SIRIUS satellite radio.
