Maserati GranTurismo MC returns to the auto scene with a more refined look and horsepower, which was debuted last year at the Paris Auto Show under the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale nameplate.
The new Maserati GranTurismo MC is powered by a 4.7-liter DOHC V8 engine producing 444 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 376 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox (with paddle shifters) rather than the original Race Shift transmission found on the GranTurismo MC Stradale. Maserati claims that the GranTursimo MC can accelerate from 0-62 mph in about 4.6 seconds and with a top speed of 185 mph.
To provide more aerodynamic and downforce, the Maserati GranTurismo MC gets a revised aluminum hood features vents that relieve underhood pressure to reduce lift. With the addition of new a rear spoiler and diffuser, Maserati claims that downforce is increased by 25 percent in front and 50 percent in the rear.
The Maserati GranTurismo MC is similar to the European model, but instead, it is designed for U.S. customers who want a more luxurious sports car.
The Maserati GranTurismo MC was introduced at Maserati’s new showroom in New York, and pricing will be released at a later date. Meanwhile, check out the video below of the GranTurismo MC at the track.
