People used to love the old Honda CR-X because it got just the right amount of power to make it goes fast in its light body, and with the new Honda CR-Z hybrid, people seem to be wanting more power due to its hybrid nature. Here is where Mugen Euro comes in to save the day by injecting more juice into this little car.
Mugen Euro added a supercharger to the standard 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that pumps out 197 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, and that is almost a 50% power-jump from the stock 113 horsepower and 107 lb-ft of torque. Mugen Euro has also managed to sync the added-power with the integrated hybrid assist system to make it more efficient , which is accomplished with the help from a new exhaust and intercooler systems.
As usual with Mugen style, the little Honda CR-Z will receive a body kit upgraded as well, which includes Mugen-spec front and rear bumpers, a massive rear wing and side skirts. In addition, new Mugen GP 17-inch light-weight forged wheels along with front and rear adjustable dampers to provide a low ground effect.
The Mugen Euro Honda CR-Z will make its official appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, and by then, we should have more livelier visual images. So, stay tuned.
