Bradus pumps more juice to the new Mercedes-Benz S500, CL500, S63 & CL63 AMG


As if power wasn’t enough in the latest Mercedes-Benz sedan lineup. Bradus tuner cranked up horsepower in the S500, CL500 and even the S63 and CL63 AMG along with a few cosmestic and other drivetrain upgrades.

Currently, these Mercedes-Benz models are offered with the bi-turbocharged V8 engines. And starting with the S500 and CL500 models, Brabus delivers two engine power levels in the 4.7-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The first power package includes a new ECU to pump out and additional 482 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque, which is about 47 more horsepower compared to the standard version. And in the second power level, it includes a new fuel map and intercooler to raise power to 520 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of torque.

Up to the top performance models of the Mercedes-Benz S63 and CL63 AMG, which are equipped with a bi-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8 engine, it received an ECU improvement and a water-to-air intercooler that is by powered by an electric pump. This performance package boosts power to 620 horsepower and 737 lb-ft of torque, which is about 49 more horsepower compared to the standard version. Performance wise, this power package can accelerate the S63 and CL63 AMG from 0-62 mph in a mere 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 199 mph.

But Bradus didn’t just stop at the power upgrades for the Mercedes-Benz S63 and CL63 AMG, it added a limited-slip differential with a locking rate of up to 40 percent and a sport exhaust system that features a flap so drivers can electronic control the sound of the exhaust. To complete the transformation, an aero kit with a front spoiler, rear diffuser and carbon trims along with 21-inch rims to show off the Bradus Mercedes-Benz models new found power.

Of course, these power packages don’t come cheap; it varies from $7,200 to $8,600.
