2012 Subaru Impreza is impressive with its new look and fuel economy

Subaru offiicially introduced the new 2012 Impreza. The fourth-generation Subaru Impreza will be available in four and five-door body styles. Subaru is aiming the new Impreza to be more fuel-efficient and fun to drive.

Dimension wise, the 2012 Subaru Impreza has similar size to the outgoing model, but the A-pillar has been extended to 7.78 inches to provide an extra foot room for the rear passenger seats. And this also result in a larger cargo space as well.

Subaru finally made major exterior design to the Impreza. All and all, the new 2012 Subaru Impreza looks impressive with its “Smart & Classy” concept. The 2012 Impreza’s new look is pointed out by the hexagon grille, “hawk eye” headlights, and bulging wheel arches.

The 2012 Impreza will be powered by the new 2.0-liter boxer engine producing 148 horsepower and 145 lb-ft of torque, which is 22 less horsepower than the outgoing 2.5-liter boxer engine. The new boxer engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or the new Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission. Impressively about the new 2.0-liter boxer engine is its fuel economy rating, which has been increased drastically to 36 miles per gallon for this AWD 2,910-pound car.

The new 2012 Subaru Impreza sedan and five-door hatchback are scheduled to arrive at your local dealership later this summer.
