XTS Platinum Concept 2010 9 Cadillac Unveils The 2010 XTS Platinum Concept

New XTS Platinum Concepts unveils at Detroit International Auto Show.  It seems like whatever Cadillac comes up with, they all look almost identical.  Anyhow, the 2010 Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept will be the new top of the line luxury sedan for Cadillac. It emphasizes new environmental friendly, luxury and technological advance for this sedan. Designed from the inside out to interface between the driver and the auto electronic.

The XTS Platinum Concept uses Cadillac’s 3.6L V-6 Direct Injection gas engine with a plug-in electric hybrid system for fuel efficiency. The plug-in technology enables the battery to fully charge from a standard electrical outlet. The battery can fully recharge in about five hours while the car is not in use at any standard plug-in outlet.

Power output for the XTS Platinum is a combination of engine power and electric power or engine power only. The combination of the Direct Injection V-6 engine and the PHEV system featuring fully electric variable drive provides an estimated 350 horsepower (260 kW) and 295 lb.-ft. of torque combined.

One other advanced feature of the suspension system in the XTS Platinum Concept is the  Magnetic Ride Control. It enables the XTS Platinum Concept to adjust to driving conditions in spirited driving or luxury car mode. It uses shocks controlled by advanced magneto-rheological technology to accelerate response time and precision.

Here goes Car and Driver again. Where do they get their sh*t from? I dont even know why I clicked on this video. The man didnt know what the hell he was talking about. This vehicle is as close to the production model as the Provoq concept was to the SRX. Meaning, its dead-on. Malibu isnt on this platform. Its on Epsilon. Lacrosse is on Epsilon II and this vehicle is on the Super Epsilon II platform. Which it might only share with the next Impala. Dumb*ss’ @ Car and Driver cant report anything.
