Vauxhall is introducing its version of the Opel Insignia OPC Unlimited. The Vauxhall Insignia VXR features an unrestricted speed limiter (155 mph limited) that allows it to top out at 170 mph.
“For those owners who enjoy driving on the continent, the Unlimited option lets them experience the Insignia VXR’s true top speed, combined with the peerless stability and secure handling that only an all-wheel-drive chassis can offer,” said Stuart Harris, Vauxhall’s Group Product Manager.
The Vauxhall Insignia VXR is a four-wheel-drive sport sedan, which is powered by a turbocharged 2.8-liter V6 engine producing 325 horsepower. It can sprint from 0-60 mph in about 5.6 seconds with a 6-speed manual transmission.
The speed package for the Vauxhall Insignia VXR is only available in the U.K., and it is priced at about £250 ($410) with either manual or automatic transmissions. Brembo logos and new tachometer and speedometer are also available as optional equipment in the Unlimited package.
