Mercedes-Benz G-Class BA3 Final Edition and Edition Select models to be the last

The latest Mercedes-Benz G-Class “BA3 Final Edition” and “Edition Select” models will probably be the last G-Class Series ever to come out of Germany. Mercedes-Benz plans to end its production with this last model so it can venture into more fuel efficient vehicles, and this look-alike-tank G-Class SUV just won’t cut it.

With that, the new Mercedes-Benz G-Class BA3 Final Edition is a four-wheel-drive SUV that is available with two engine variants of a G 350 BlueTEC and G 500. It features a few components from the AMG design, which include flared wheel arches, prominent radiator grille with chrome trims, 5-twin spoke alloy wheels, and stainless-steel running boards along with a spare wheel cover. Other standard features also include sunroof, parking radar, and tire pressure monitoring system.

Within the interior, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class BA3 Final Edition SUV is equipped with luxury amenities just like sedans. This includes ventilated and heated front leather seats, burr walnut wood and chrome trims, and fully electronic seat adjustment.

Pricing for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class BA3 Final Edition SUV will be €90,511 ($134,500) for the 211-hp G 350 BlueTEC “BA3 Final Edition” and €100,686 ($149,600) for the 388-hp G 500 version.

As for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class “Edition Select” SUV (long-wheelbase version), which is powered by a V8-powered G500 engine, it is available in a two-tone paint finish. It comes with AMG side flaps and bumpers that are painted in obsidian black metallic. Just like the G-Class BA3 Final Edition, it also comes with stainless-steel running boards, a spare wheel cover, and 18-inch alloy-wheels along with AMG sports exhaust system to round out the look.

And in the interior, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class “Edition Select” SUV gets the same treatment as the G-Class BA3 Final Edition SUV, but added a few more luxury touches. This includes designo piano black wood trim, leather wrapped dashboard, armrest, door handles and brake lever. In addition, a 12-speaker, 450-watt Harman Kardon Logic7 multichannel audio system also come as standard.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class “Edition Select” SUV adds another €6,735 ($10,000) on top of the price of LWB G-Class models.
