Update: 3/2/2010
The Aston Martin Cygnet made its world debut today at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show with its yuppy image impression. It seems like the Aston Cygnet Concept is catering to the rich/yuppies to show that they do care about the world too. According to Aston Martin, the Cygnet is “a bold step towards a new form of transportation; the luxury commuter car, a form of personal transportation that sees the company’s core values engage with a new environment.”
The video of Martin Cygnet below shows how someone feels about it.

Even Aston Martin, the automaker of luxury sports cars, jumps on the small, fuel efficient, environmental friendly car market bandwagon. It releases its the first official images of the ‘Cygnet’ concept – a new luxury compact car. Work on the Aston Martin Cygnet Concept is ongoing and will continue into 2010. It will become a production initially available to Aston Martin customers in the UK and Europe only at a price of around $33,000 or 20,000 euros. Hey, you can be rich and environmental friendly at the same time.
The car will retain the Toyota iQ’s unique 3+1 seating but will be tailored to the individual customer’s needs when it is assembled in Gaydon. Why not just get the Toyota iQ instead? Toyota’s iQ platform is the world’s smallest four-seater that will serve as the basis for a new luxury commuter car to be exclusively built for and sold to Aston Martin owners. Toyota Motor Europe today announced that the new “Cygnet” would pair Aston Martin’s trademark design flair with the Toyota iQ’s highly compact and low-CO2 city driving package.
Do you think the Aston Martin Cygnet Concept should be like in the video below, with its steeped price? Lol!

Guys, they have no choice. Due to the faff caused by the Eco bitches, Car companies have to limit the total co2 created by their whole car line up (each cars co2 is added for a grand total then compared to the co2 limit) Because Aston Martin provide a whole line up of co2 spewing monsters =D they have to have a car that produces very little c02 to even the numbers. The cygnet is a disgrace, but it is not a cheap car at all, and look at the inside, its sort of nice. But still awful. Ignore it…
