That review was taken from Top Gear and we both know they lay the good and bad of cars. you can deny their personal opinion if you please, but the fact remains that you&#039;ve only stated an opinion. I&#039;m not saying the elise is bad, but you obviously have a hate for american cars dude. Marketing Overcomes Performance, and if you give more than what your demographics ask for you are setting yourself for failure.</description>

		<description>This is where my cheapass Lotus Elise comes in. True. Its not always been great. Its fairly new in USA but here its been around since 1996. My 2005 model is quite alot &quot;more car&quot; than it was in 96. However its capable. Beyond belief. With its modest 1.8 litre engine its been known to match 8.4 litre Vipers on a track. And like the Viper, it has no electronic aids or fancy tech. Clearly if US-cars had any redeeming features / capabilities beyond burnouts and dragracing, this wouldnt happen.</description>

Gas mileage out of a 6 litre pushrod? Dont even go there. There is no denying the price tho. It IS cheap for big V8. And wouldnt we all like our cars to be cheaper. However cheap is good when you feel you got a good car for less money. Cheap is no longer so attractive when you feel you just bought squeeky cater-for-all plastic. </description>
