Audi just officially unleashed its new convertible version of its limited-edition R8 GT. The new 2012 Audi R8 GT Spyder is powered by the same V10 engine as the hard-top version.

The 2012 Audi R8 GT Spyder has the same power output as the coupe, which is equipped with a 5.2-liter V10 producing 560 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque. The 5.2-liter V10 with an aluminum crankcase uses an FSI direct injection system along with a dry-sump lubrication ensures a reliable supply of oil even under maximum lateral or straight-line acceleration.
