Buick has just announced the new 2012 LaCrosse with eAssist with a starting price of $29,960 before an $860 destination charge. The new 2012 Buick LaCrosse eAssist utilizes a number of improvements to boost fuel economy than the previous year model.
The 2012 Buick LaCrosse is either powered by a four-cylinder engine or an optional V6 engine producing 180 horsepower or 303 horsepower, respectively. The four-cylinder engine has an estimated fuel economy of 25/37 miles per gallon city/hwy while the V6 engine has 17/27 mpg rating. The fuel economy increase due to the Buick LaCrosse with eAssist, which features the state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery system and electric motor-generator that enables regenerative braking capability.
The V6 engine is optional on the 2012 Buick LaCrosse, but it is priced the same as the four-cylinder engine. Customers will the option to significantly improved fuel economy or horsepower, dependents on their needs.
Additionally, new standard features for 2012 Buick LaCrosse include dual-zone climate control, 17-inch alloy wheels, full-color driver information center, and Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
The 2011 Buick LaCrosse was priced at $26,995 last year, and it is no longer available. In the 2012 Buick LaCrosse, Buick wanted to offer one price for both version, which means that the base model LaCrosse for 2012 is about $3,000 more.
