Mazda is introducing another MX-5 special edition, and it is called the Karai. The new Mazda Karai was designed from Mazda’s European division. The Mazda MX-5 Karai will be available only in Germany for now.
The new Mazda MX-5 Karai is based on the 2011 MX-5 Roadster coupe that comes with a retractable hardtop. It features a distinctive Metal Green Metallic paint job with contrasting glossy black finish on the surrounding parts. In addition, it comes with a set of dark 17-inch alloy wheels to compliment the black contrast theme.
As for the interior, the Mazda MX-5 Karai comprises of a set of black leather steering wheel and Recaro sport seats that come with contrasting white stitching. Moving down to the floor is a set of aluminum pedals, and in addition, everything else in the interior are painted in a glossy black color.
The Mazda MX-5 Karai is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing about 160 horsepower. Mazda also is providing an optional sport package that consists of an exhaust system, a lowering kit for the suspension, iPod and USB adapters, and new floor mats.
The Mazda MX-5 will be available in Germany by August, and there will only be 165 units of the Mazda MX-5 Karai be built with prices starting at €30,000 ($43,500).
