The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is confirmed for production, and only 150 units will be built with a hefty price tag of £330,000 ($525,000). This supercar was created by the Italian coachbuilder Zagato and Aston Martin to celebrate its 50th anniversary in partnership of the DB4GT Zagato.
The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is expensive indeed compared to the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV at £220k ($350k) or the top-of-the-line model of the Ferrari 599 GTO at £305,000 ($490k). At a £330,000 price tag, it puts the Aston Martin V12 Zagato in the category of Bugatti Veyron, Pagani Huayra, and Aston One-77.
The Aston Martin V12 Zagato is based on the current Aston Martin V12 Vantage, which is powered by 6.0-litre V12 engine producing 517 horsepower and 420 lb ft of torque.
“The V12 Zagato is an elegant yet brutal design which reflects the great balance between race performance and pure Aston Martin style,” said Marek Reichman, Aston Martin’s Director of Design.
Currently, Aston Martin is accepting orders for V12 Zagato supercar with first deliveries expected in the second half of 2012.
