Chrysler is powering up its SRT lineup for 2012, and it is introducing the new SRT models that include the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8, 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8, 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 and the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.

Starting with the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8, it has its power band jumped to 470 horsepower along with the new sleek, low-profile bodywork. Chrysler claims that it can do a quarter-mile in 12 seconds, and it doesn’t come cheap either. The 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 is priced at $46,660 MSRP, including an $825 shipping and destination charge.

If you want to settle for a two-door, there is the 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 model, it is priced at $44,077. It is a bit cheaper than the 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8, but you get hit with a $1,500 gas guzzler tax with an automatic transmission and a $1,000 tax when equipped with the six-speed manual transmission.

Moving away from the brawl muscles is the 2012 300 SRT8 sedan, which will set you back $47,995. It comes with power plus a bit of luxury amenities. If luxury is not what you want, Chrysler got you covered with its 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, and it is priced at $55,295 for entry level model.

Chrysler pretty much has the SRT lineup covered for everyone’s taste, so take your pick.

On looks, I know that my wife would take this over the Voyager that we have any day of the week. She’s not keen on MPV cars fullstop but she does accept that it does do everything we ask of it.

Though looking at the price on this, I doubt we’ll ever have to argue over which to choose….
