BMW Performance Edition 135i and 335i upgrades only cost $550 more

BMW is feeling generous and going to make a lot of new BMW 1 and Series sedan owners very happy in the U.S.  BMW is offering its Performance Edition package to BMW 135i and 335i owner who wish to upgrade their cars for just $550 more.

The BMW Performance Edition is currently limited option package on 2011 335i sedans, but BMW is planning to offer it to existing 135i and 335i customers in early 2012.

The BMW Performance Edition is consisted of a Power Kit,  black-out kidney grille, and a BMW Performance Edition badge. The Power Kit consists of engine tuning software (no additional hardware), which helps increase power output to 320 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque (up from 300 hp and 300 lb-ft torque) on a manual transmission. And when equipped with an automatic transmission, it torque is about 332 lb-ft.

We would like to clear out the details for $550 deal on the Performance Edition package. It is for new BMW 1 and Series sedans only. If you already bought a sedan a while back, you would have to wait for the Performance Edition package in 2012.  It will cost around $1,500, not including installation fee.
