Just two weeks ago, images of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe were caught while it was at studio in preparation for the photo shoot. Somehow those pre-shoots during the preparation emerged on the Internet before Merdedes-Benz had a chance to debut it. The C63 AMG Coupe Black Series is currently made its world premiere at the Formula 1 German Grand Prix on the Nürburgring today and tomorrow.
Today, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe is officially revealed in full details. To provide more stability due to the horsepower increase, the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe is lowered with the adjustable AMG coil-over sports suspension along with its wider tracks. Front tracks were about 1.6 inches wider and while rear opened up to another 3.1 inches. With wider tracks means that the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe can accommodate big wheels. Custom 9.0-by-19-inch front and 9.5-by-19-inch rear AMG forged wheels were used on all four corners.
The new 2012 Mercedes- Benz C63 AMG Coupe Black Series represents higher performance standard other AMG model. It is equipped with the most powerful C-Class of all time, featuring the AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine producing 510 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a modified AMG Speedshift MCT sport auto 7-speed transmission. The transmission features driving condition selector of Sport+ and Manual modes.This powertrain setup enables the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series to sprint from zero to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds. And that is mighty fast for a sedan.
Stopping power is provided by large, vented brake discs: 15.4-by-1.4 inches front and 14.2-by-1.0 inch rear. The brake discs are perforated with aluminum compound material to allow easy separation of the two sections during hard braking.
The C63 AMG Coupe Black Series is made for spirited driving on a closed track, so the interior mimicked a racecar like quality. It is equipped with leather and Dinamica microfiber competition seats to provide grip and ventilation just like a racecar. The black DINAMICA microfiber upholstery on the center panels of the seats and doors is a new type of synthetic fiber that provides high fade resistance. If you are looking for the rear seats, there aren’t any. The car only equipped with two front bucket seats.
As for the pricing of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe, it is about 35 percent more than the standard C63 Coupe. Which equates about $90,000 when it arrives in the U.S. In addition, it also comes with an optional packages include a track package and aerodynamic package, and that is another extra cost.
