The Fisker Karma is a hybrid, luxury sports car, which seems already available here in the U.S. Today, we got first look at the Fisker Karma hybrid sports car in motion in Santa Monica, California. The “buyer” test drive was done by Fisker Karma dealership in Santa Monica, which Kyle (salesman) explains the functions of the car.
The sticker price for the Fisker Karma hybrid sports car is around $100,000, and already about 3,000 units have been ordered.
The Fisker Karma hybrid supercar uses two electric motors in the rear and a turbocharged gasoline 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 260 horsepower up front. The engine does not provide power to the wheels, rather it acts as an electric generator to charge the battery pack, which then provides electron energy for the electric motors; much like the Chevrolet Volt’s hybrid technology. The twin AC motors produce an equivalent of 402 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Anyway, watch the video below to see this green, gorgeous beauty in motion.
