The 2012 Infiniti FX gets a new facelift and will be available in limited edition as well. The new front fascia is aggressive styled along with small updates on the taillights and chrome fog lamps. The new front fascia gets its design cue from Infiniti’s latest design from the Infiniti Essence Concept.
Along with a new facelift, the Infiniti FX also gets a new set of 20-inch wheel design, a slightly revised instrument cluster, and a few new exterior colors added as well. In addition, a new FX35 Limited Edition model comes with an exclusive Iridium Blue exterior color along with blacked-out exterior finishes and unique 21-inch wheels, which only 550 LE models will be built for the North American market.
As for the powertrain, it remains the same for 2012 Infiniti FX models, which uses the same 303-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine. The higher end model such as the Infiniti FX50 gets the same 390-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine. Although not confirmed, the European version will also get a 238-hp 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine. Both V6 and V8 gasoline engines come with a 7-speed automatic transmission, but the FX50 gets optional paddle shifters. The 2012 Infiniti FX35 will get an all-wheel drive as optional, while it is standard on the FX50.
As for pricing, the 2012 Infiniti FX35 base model has a starting price of $43,450 and the FX50 starts at $59,350. And the top-range 2012 Limited Edition Infiniti FX35 fetches at will $51,550. All models will be available in October 2011.
