There is a new battleground to be fought, and that is the mini subcompact car segment (C-segment). Chevrolet just twitted that it plans to produce the new Chevrolet Spark minicar for the U.S.
As gas prices are getting pricier, a mini subcompact car seems to be an ideal choice when getting a new car. The Chevrolet Spark minicar will be efficient, which is able to achieve 47 miles per gallon combined.
We got the first look of the Chevrolet Spark at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, but will see it live sometime in 2012. So far, no specs on this green minicar yet, but we assume that it will have a 1.0-liter engine producing around 80 horsepower. And that is enough of power to get you around town.
