2011 FVP GT Black will be in limited production in Australia

The 2011 FVP GT Black was debuted as a concept model at the Australian International Auto Show, and after receiving much interest, Ford decided to make it a limited-production run for the Australian market. The 2011 FVP GT Black is based on the Ford Falcon GT sedan.

“We were totally blown away by the positive feedback received from fans and show-goers on our Concept,” said FPV General Manager, Rod Barrett.

“We knew we had a winner with the black paintwork and we wanted to action something immediately. The public spoke and we listened and I am just thrilled we have been able to put the GT BLACK into production so quickly,” Barett added.

The sinister-looking FVP GT Black will be produced by Ford Performance Vehicles in Australia. It is equipped with a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine producing 450 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque from 2,200 rpm to 5,500 rpm.

Since the 2011 FVP GT Black is a limited-edition, there will be only 125 units built. The FPV GT Black is available in one color only, and it will have a sticker price of $74,290.
