The 2012 Ford Focus Electric won’t be hitting dealerships anytime soon in 2011 for many U.S. states. It is reported that only New York and California will be the only two states that will get its deliveries before the end of 2011.

The deliveries of the 2011 Ford Focus Electric in 19 markets is now official set in Spring of 2012, which include Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, Phoenix, Portland, Raleigh Durham, Richmond, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Tucson and Washington, D.C.

According to David Finnegan, Ford’s electrified vehicles marketing manager:

“For the first few months of production, we will be concentrating on California and New York. Our dealers in those areas will be the first to have their retail orders scheduled and receive the Focus Electric. We will be rolling out to the remainder of our initial markets starting in Spring 2012.”

On Monday Ford issued the following statement:

“Ford remains on schedule to deliver the initial Focus Electrics by the end of the year. As previously communicated to dealers, the first few months of Focus Electric production will be concentrated on delivering vehicles to California and New York. We will be rolling out to the remainder of the initial Focus Electric markets starting with production ramp up in spring 2012.”
