When you have an expensive exotic car, a recall over a fuel leak problem is a great concern. You really wouldn’t want your expensive car to go on flame. Audi is calling the 2011-2012 R8 Spyders due to potential fuel leak in fuel supply line rubbing against the heat shield under the hood. Well, fuel and heat, that doesn’t sound like a good recipe.
According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the affected Audi Spyder R8 were manufactured from May 18, 2010 through June 22, 2011.
The official recall is expected to begin around August 22nd. Owners of affected vehicles will be able to have their cars inspected and repaired free of charge. Owners also may contact Audi at 1-800-2834 for more information.
