2011 BMW ALPINA B7 Sedan 6 2011 BMW ALPINA B7 Sedans in North America

BMW announced the pricing today for the 2011 BMW ALPINA B7 sedan, which will join BMW’s North American product range as the most dynamic 7 Series model. Have you ever stop and think that all BMWs look the same? Well, this 2011 BMW ALPINA B7 sedan is no exception. Subtle changes to the front lip spoiler, new fan wheels, a rear spoiler of the BMW 7 series model, and whoa la, you have the BMW Alpina B7. The problem is that it looks good and makes us wanting it more.

The 2011 BMW ALPINA B7 sedan is powered by the twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8, and in conjunction with the electronically-adjustable suspension with Active Roll Stabilization on a 20-spoke 21″ Alpina Classics rim from the 1990s. The twin-turbocharged engine is the High Precision Direct Injection V-8 engine which has been enhanced by ALPINA and is capable of producing 500 (373kW) horsepower and 516 lb-ft (700Nm) of torque, with maximum torque available around from 3,000 to 4,750 rpm . It is a rear-wheel drive performance/luxury Sedan, which can sprint from 0-60 mph in 4.5 sec. Not bad Super bad for a luxury/sports sedan, you don’t find too many of these around with that kind of acceleration time.

Back to the front and rear spoilers, BMW claims that it reduces lift at the front by 30% and rear by 15%. As for the interior, it pretty much like the BMW 7 Series with added blue light illumination and Black-Panel LCD screen instrument cluster.

So, how much does it cost? Well, the 2011 BMW ALPINA B7 sedan will retail for $122,875 (standard wheelbase) and $126,775 (extended wheelbase). A video is worth a thousand pictures… icon biggrin 2011 BMW ALPINA B7 Sedans in North America

The old Alpina B7 supposedly could maintain 18 miles per gallon at 150 miles per hour. Wonder how this one does.
