After many presentations elsewhere in the world, the 2012 BMW M5 has finally arrived in the U.S. To mark the occasion of its arrival, it first headed down to the California’s Laguna Seca raceway for some laps.

The new 2012 BWM M5 is a much luxurious sports sedan than the previous version. With the new 2012 BMW M5, BMW has made great stride to win back the hearts of young executives and enthusiasts.

The new 2012 BMW M5 is now come with a revised twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 producing 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This enables it to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in a mere 4.2 seconds. To stay inline with the executive design cue, BMW is not offering a manual gearbox, and we concur.

The 2012 BMW M5 sports sedan is already in America, but it won’t go on sale till February of 2012. Ba humbug! But wait, there is more news of the 2012 BMW M5. BMW will be introducing a diesel variant of the new M5, but so far, no details on the diesel-powered M5. We expect it to perform a bit less than M5 gasoline version in terms of acceleration and top speed.
