Jaguar cars are getting more sportier. It wants to show off its edgier side to younger customers or those who are young at heart. With that, Jaguar is working on a new model called the XFR-S sports sedan.

Even though the Jaguar XFR-S sports sedan retains its four-door sedan look, everything has been beefed to show that this car is no ordinary sedan. The car has a bit of a wider track than the standard XFR, and it is powered by a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine along with four tailpipes sticking out the back to show off its brute force. The engine produces 550 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque, and it is mated to a ZF sequential automatic transmission. Jaguar claims the XFR-S sports sedan can accelerate from 0-62 mph in about 4.4 seconds, which is a few tenth of a second less than the coupe version.

The spy photo reveals the 2012 Jaguar XFR-S with an aggressive bodykit, which includes a new front spoiler and a rear spoiler. In addition, the car has been lowered by an about an inch all around along with new black alloy wheels to fill up the fender gaps.

The 2012 Jaguar XFR-S sports sedan is expected to make its debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January of 2012.
