Other supercars recently were getting near or even to the Bugatti Veyron’s power output, and now Veyron is trying to distant that power gap by developing the Veyron Super Sport.
A recent spy photo caught the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport during its testing on the road. To distant the power gap, Bugatti modified the 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine with four larger turbochargers and bigger intercoolers to help boost power output from 1,001 horsepower to a 1,200 horsepower along with a massive 1,106 lb-ft of torque.
Production of the Veyron Super Sport coupe will start later this year, and will be available by early 2013. With the new Veyron Super Sport, Bugatti will take the title of the world fastest production supercar, again.
