Infiniti plans to show off its new FX50 Performance Concept model at the 64th IAA International Motor Show on September 13th of this year. The new concept SUV is inspired by race driver Sebastian Vettel who is with Red Bull F1 racing team.
The Infiniti FX50 Performance Concept was designed with inputs from Sebastian Vettel. So far, no technical information has released on the FX50 Performance Concept, but the photo reveals that is based on the latest FX style that features a prominent grille along with unique elements such as a revised front bumper with LED daytime lights, new side skirts, and a tail wing that looks like from an F1 car. In addition, a new set of performance wheels and tires are used to further enhance the sporty look of the Infiniti FX50 Performance Concept.
A lot of carbon fiber is used to provide a nice contrast to the white body color, which includes side skirts, the roof spoiler, and the rear bumper. And to make it more distinguishable, Vettel badges are placed on both sides of the front fenders.
We only see the revised appearance of the Infiniti FX50 Performance Concept for now, but surely as an inspired F1 vehicle, we expect that there is performance modification under the hood as well. And from what we know so far, the Infiniti FX50 Performance Concept comes with a V8 engine producing 390 horsepower, and it can zip from 0-60 mph in just five seconds. We’ll know more about the technical specification when the Infiniti FX50 Performance Concept makes its debut at the show, so stay tuned.
