If you are expecting the new 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, you may in for a surprise because it got a major facelift. We’re all anxiously to see the new Genesis Coupe, but recently photos snagged when these cars parked at a factory floor reveal that it looks similar to Hyundai Veloster.
From the looks of the new wheels, protruding front spoiler and signature dovetail, we are pretty sure that this is the real deal. It looks fairly close to the 2013 Hyundai Genesis that was in camouflage in the recent spy photos. At the front end, we see that the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe gets a new hexagonal grille along with new headlamps and bumper, and while the rear end gets new LED taillamps and a reshaped bumper.
As for the powertrain for the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, it is expected to get a more powerful direct-injection 3.8-liter V6 engine producing 333 horsepower and 291 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission along with the option of an 8-speed automatic transmission. A 2.0-litre four-cylinder entry-level engine is said to be available as well.
Right now, we are about 99 percent sure that this is the new 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe. We’ll definitely know for sure in a few months when it appears at the next Detroit Auto Show in January.
