Audi is introducing three new 2012 models for the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The three new 2012 models are the Audi S6, S7 and S8, which features new performance and styling upgrades.
Starting with the big 2012 S8 sedan, it sports the new twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 producing about 520 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Power is transferred to all four wheels via a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. Audi claims that the new 2012 S8 sedan can accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 4.2 second and with an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. That ought to put a lot of sports cars in embrassement.
For the 2012 Audi S6 and S7 models, they both get the same twin-turbo engine as the S8 sedan, but has been de-tuned to provide about 420 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. And Audi claims that these cars can achieve a 0-62 mph time in about 4.8 seconds and 4.9 seconds, respectively.
Expect to see the 2012 Audi S6, S7 and S8 available in the U.S. showrooms soon. Meanwhile, you can check for more detailed information about these cars in the press release below.
