Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG gets beefed up by VÄTH tuner

As if the new Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG needed more power, and it usually left alone by the tuning world. But there is always somebody who is willing to push the envelope, and that is VÄTH, a German tuning firm.

VÄTH has just introduced a new performance package for the Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG, which includes a software upgrade for the ECU and various styling parts for the car.

The new ECU software helps boost the bi-turbocharged V8 engine from 536 horsepower and 590 lb-ft to an unbelievable 630 horsepower and 686 pound-feet of peak torque, and that is just with the remapping of the fuel curve.

To unleash the full potential of the tuned Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG , VÄTH had the electronic speed limiter removed. The performance result is an increase in top speed from 155 mph to 187mph, and with the sprint time from 0-62 mph in just 4.3 seconds.

To put power to the pavement, VÄTH tuner added a new set of 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 255/35 ZR20 rubber at the front and 255/35 ZR20 at the rear. And a rear diffuser and spoiler are used to keep the car pins to the ground at high speeds.

Other various interior upgrades such as custom leathers and trims are available as an option besides the performance package for the Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG.
